Belgravia is a small central London village in the City of Westminster as well as the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It has traditionally been regarded as the most prestigious residential address in London, being home to Eaton Square, Wilton Crescent and Chester Square. The architecture is formed mostly of large white stucco rendered properties. When many international clients think of London houses they think of this type of housing stock. Most of these buildings were built as houses and have subsequently been converted. Within these addresses are roads that are predominately flat addresses, such as Eaton Square and those which are house addresses, such as Chester Square.
Belgravia has historically been accused of not having a community. The Grosvenor Estate which is one of the principal freeholders in this area has worked particularly hard over the last twenty years to address this matter. The rejuvenation of Elizabeth Street and indeed Ebury Street has worked incredibly well to curate a thriving restaurant community which is particularly popular with locals and visitors.
The huge regeneration programme undertaken by Land Securities in Victoria has further increased peoples awareness to Belgravia.
