The Brief

A retained client was asking for advice on value, when purchasing an overseas property. We had provided similar advice on their Central London home.

The Search

The client had already identified the residential development complex within which they wanted to purchase. TLR were asked to negotiate the purchase with the selling agents, which included commissioning international valuations, meeting and liaising with the overseas private banks, the ever important Notaire, and tax specialists to ensure our client bought the best value property in the most efficient way.

The Result

TLR were able to negotiate a reduction of over 15% from the asking price of the apartment, in what has become an internationally recognised development. TLR also negotiated the inclusion of the entire furniture package within the aforementioned discount.  Interesting fact,  there are very few apartments in the French Alps which offer 6 bedroom suites.  Usually, this size of property is associated with stand alone chalets, which was firmly not the client brief.
