Marryat

The Brief

A referral from a Trust advisor, from an off shore Trust company. The client, an owner of a development company required a large family home convenient for the children’s schools, outside space was important as was access to Surrey.

A Kensington budget that was not required.

Blue chip, trophy house with a rather unusual twist

The Search

The clients had an excellent knowledge of London, preferred locations were Kensington and Chelsea. After the initial tours, it became clear that lateral space was the overriding requirement. We responded to this by focusing outside of the main Central London locations, targeting instead,  SW13, SW15 and SW19 where houses tend to provide better lateral accommodation and larger outside space.

The Result

A large detached family home on one of the key village roads in Wimbledon. Due to the change in location, the purchase price was fifty per cent less than the original budget. The clients wished to undertake some re-modelling and TLR advised and undertook the refurbishment programme.

I have had the pleasure of working with Peter for several mutual clients.

He is a truly gifted architect, drawing every plan by hand, he understands and sees so much more than just the architecture alone. He has the most perceptive eye for interiors in continuation from the architecture and connects this resulting in the most beautiful flow in the living spaces he creates.

He is a skilled project manager, having created homes in the Caribbean and Europe, understanding the complexities and logistics of bringing together the various craftspeople, materials and professionals with different cultures to unite in the one project.

As a lawyer, I very much appreciate his role and how instrumental he is on a project always representing his client to achieve their objectives.
