Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill is a beautiful urban village in north London within the London Borough of Camden. It is located immediately to to the north of Regent’s Park and is famous for its grassy hill that provides of of the most iconic views across London, giving the area its name.
It is an affluent suburb that became known in the 1990’s for ‘The Primrose Hill set’ including the then notable residents Jude Law, Sade Frost and Kate Moss who helped to raise the areas profile in countless tabloid pages.
Despite being so close to central London, the village is known for its good sense of community and its vibrant high street with many independent shops and cafes. The area is popular with actors, musicians, TV personalities and those working in media.
Typical housing stock includes large detached homes, semi detached villas, terraces of stucco late Victorian era houses and period flat conversions.
The most well known roads in the area are Prince Albert Road and Regent’s Park Road, especially the houses over looking Primrose Hill itself. Chalcot Square and Chalcot Crescent houses have a tradition of being painted in different pastel shades (this was also the setting for the Paddington Bear films). St George’ Terrace, and the 1920’s houses on Elsworthy Road and Wadham Gardens are also popular due to their access to the Hill.
