Highgate
N6
Highgate is an affluent leafy village in north London. It is located within the London Boroughs of Camden, Haringey and Islington. Like Hampstead, it is another example of a true London village, with a vibrant high street, a friendly community and a great selection of amenities and facilities. Architecture in the area is mixed with Georgian and Victorian housing stock predominating. There are some Art Deco apartment blocks and new build developments. Highgate is known for its hilltop location and beautiful views over central London.
Preferred locations are anywhere in the village; The Grove and Fitzroy Park which is a quiet private road that leads from the village down to Hampstead Heath. Also the roads between Hampstead Lane and North Hill including Courtenay Avenue and Compton Avenue are popular. Albeit, many may consider this to be Hampstead Garden Suburb.
Highgate also backs on to Hampstead Heath and as a result enjoys all these outside facilities.
