Chiswick

Chiswick is a prosperous and leafy village in west London popular with families. It is located within the London Borough of Hounslow. Chiswick is known for a particularly beautiful river frontage along the River Thames which also provides outdoor recreational facilities. The main shopping road is Chiswick High Road, offering a wide range of independent and chain retailers, cafes, bars and restaurants.

Typical housing stock includes Victorian and Edwardian terraces and detached Arts and Crafts houses. Fronting the river, either at Chiswick Mall or Strand on the Green are some particularly attractive and individual Georgian houses. 

The best roads fall within different areas,  Bedford Park is particularly popular. In Grove Park, Hartington Road, Grove Park Road and Grove Park Gardens are the most prized.  In recent years Chiswick has seen several new residential and retail developments, including Chiswick Gate, a collection of apartments and townhouses arranged around private gardens.

Green spaces in the area include Chiswick House and Gardens, the Gunnersbury Triangle nature reserve; Dukes Meadows Park with views over the river and Turnham Green near Chiswick High Road. At a short distance is also the small residential area of Ravenscourt Park, the main focus of which, is the Park. The River Thames also provides outdoor recreational facilities.
