The Brief

A personal referral from some one in the banking community, the clients who were relocating from overseas were a married couple, a banker and a lawyer. They required a family home within a London village, ideally in an area renowned for outstanding schools. They had an inherited knowledge of London via their parents but no real experience themselves. It was essential to show them all their options to allow them to make an educated decision.

The Search

TLR introduced the clients to the leafier London villages, which house the best schools. The search became predominantly focussed on south west London: Clapham, Wandsworth, Fulham and Battersea. The housing stock in all these areas is broadly similar, being formed, mostly of, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. In this time frame a school had been selected, this enabled us to have a clearer focus, in terms of commute.

The Result

A house that had been under offer, which tlr had seen prior to the client instructing us, fell through and returned to the market, two days prior to its scheduled exchange and completion. The sales agent made one call to TLR, our client viewed it, an offer was made, following negotiations the property was purchased. This allowed for the vendors to continue with their onward purchase and our clients to purchaser their ideal home. A happy result for all parties.
