The Brief

A referral from the MD of a global tax and accounting advisory company. An international family, our client was one of two first time buying brothers, who was relocating to London from California. A simple brief of a two bedroom flat in NW3.

The Search

A perceived lack of value in NW3 at the client’s budget level, lead to the search being extended to five further postcodes: W1, W2, NW2, NW6 and W9. TLR looked at over 150 properties and curated four tours of 10 properties each and then narrowed down the search to NW6 and W9.

The Result

During the process we were under offer on two separate mansion building apartments, but, due to legal concerns during the conveyancing process, we advised the client to withdraw both of their offers.  After our successful conclusion of some lengthy negotiations with the buildings freeholder, the client moved successfully to a two bedroom apartment in one of the premier roads of W9.

What stood out the most was the support he provided us post-purchase. Our flat had uneven floors - Marcus spent weeks making sure the problem was rectified. He used his vast network to bring in structural engineers and architects to identify the problem and provide a solution. He then introduced us to and managed a team of builders (who were excellent!). The flat is now ready and we couldn't be happier! We will definitely use Marcus again if/ when we buy our next property and I highly, highly recommend him.
